"We've been purchasing beef from Rising A for several years. Outstanding quality, taste and value! You can't beat the convenience of buying all natural beef in bulk, plus the peace of mind that a full freezer brings. We do a lot of BBQ, smoked brisket, etc. for friends and family, and frequently hear about how great the beef is. Joe and Bri know their stuff and always deliver an excellent product!"

"We ordered 1/2 a beef from Rising A Custom Beef after seeing a post on Facebook. It was very simple to place an order online with them. We are very happy with the whole process. We got our beef a week ago cut, wrapped and ready to use. Dog bones included! The best part about the whole experience is knowing exactly where our beef came from and who raised it. We know Joe and Bri take special care raising their animals. The meat is delicious and we with definitely be ordering from them again. Thank you."

"We've been purchasing our grass fed beef from Rising A Custom Beef for multiple years. We absolutely love the favor, quality and convience it gives us every year having a full freezer of everything you need ground, steaks, stew meat, etc. I also love that I can request the liver and bones for homemade bone broth. We fully trust the Akers and the process and approach they take to raising their beef. We will be supporting their family ranch for as long as they offer this delicious beef, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality, grass fed beef!"

Frequently Asked Questions

How and when do I pay for my beef?

Deposits are paid for at the time of reserving your beef share. When your processing date arrives, we'll email you an invoice with your remaining balance.

Grass Finished or Barley Finished? We do both!

What's The Difference? Grass-finished and non-GMO barley-finished beef each offer unique flavor profiles and benefits.

Our grass-finished cattle spend their entire lives on pasture, enjoying lush green grass during the spring, summer, and fall, and grass hay that we harvest ourselves and feed during the winter months. Grass-finished beef, raised on a diet of natural grasses for its entire life, tends to have a robust, earthy flavor with a leaner texture. This type of beef is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants.

Similarly, our non-GMO barley-finished cattle also spend their entire lives grazing on lush pastures throughout the spring, summer, and fall, and are fed our own grass hay during winter. The key difference is that 30 days before processing, we move the designated barley-finished cattle to their own pasture, where they receive an additional 5 lbs of barley per day until they go to the butcher. This supplementary barley feed enhances the flavor and marbling of the meat, resulting in a juicier and more tender cut of meat.

Do you ship to my state?

We offer free shipping anywhere in the United States, except for Hawaii and Alaska(there is an extra cost per pound to ship to these two states).

If you are interested in having beef shipped to Hawaii or Alaska please contact us directly at joe@risingacustombeef.com and we can provide you with pricing info.

What if my order doesn't arrive safely?

In the event that your beef gets delayed in transit or has any issues we have a 100% shipping guarantee: Your beef arrives safe or we completely refund you or send you new product on us!

How will my beef be packaged?

Every cut is individually cryovac sealed, labeled and frozen by our USDA butcher.

What if I'm not home when my box arrives?

Your box will be packed with extra dry ice incase you're not around. We recommend opening it and putting your beef in the freezer as soon as possible.

Are your cattle raised in a feed lot?

Never. Our cattle spend their entire lives out on pasture. Here in Eastern Oregon it can get a bit snowy so during the winter the winter months, they eat hay that we put up from our own ranch.

Our Story

At Rising A Custom Beef, our path to raising all-natural, grass-fed & finished beef began in 2016, when I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, an autoimmune condition that profoundly impacts gut health. This experience swiftly enlightened us about the importance of food quality and its profound effects on our family's overall health.

Throughout the years, we've dedicated ourselves to offering quality over quantity, from our lush pastures to the meals on your table. Our commitment to providing grass-fed beef, free from harsh chemicals and unnecessary treatments, is rooted in our deep understanding of the importance of gut health.

We deeply appreciate the ranching lifestyle and the opportunities it offers our children to learn about hard work, family unity, and animal care -all while stewarding God’s creation.

Our desire is to empower you to confidently nourish your family with high quality, nutritious grass-fed & finished beef.

We would be honored to serve you and your loved ones, and become the ranch that you choose to build a relationship with!
